“We are completely thrilled about finding Cara Wurst to help us. She is hands down, the best Physical Therapist we’ve ever worked with (there have been ample times). Cara gave my husband, Rick his life back by showing him exact methods to gain strength in his spine system. He had lost hope with the only option being a second surgery as he was in tremendous pain. There wasn’t much he could do pain-free except lay in bed. He’d had a foraminotomy 1.5 years earlier and one spinal injection in the few weeks before contact with Cara. She is an expert in the science of physical therapy and the McGill Method. We learned about the Back Mechanic book, loaned to us by a friend whose back was healed this same way. The McGill Method provides better healing than the typical traditional methods. With hands-on assessment and guidance from Cara, Rick is making tremendous strides in a relatively short period of time with respect to severity of his spine condition. He has pain-free movement, is much stronger, and on his feet doing more. Rick continues to make progress weekly. Now he can enjoy every day activities again like bike riding, walking, weight training, hobbies, cooking for family dinners, watching our grandchildren and short outings. We are looking forward to Rick gaining more strength using the same method with guidance by Cara which will likely add more ability to take on activity like fishing and camping together. We are so thankful for Cara as the impetus for these changes (the book alone did not do it), she knows so much about body mechanics and how to heal naturally with movement, not surgery.”

“As an ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist, Massage Therapist, EMT, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Coach and Scientist with an extensive background in health and allied healthcare, I am discerning when it comes to choosing healthcare professionals. It’s my pleasure to share my exceptional experience with Cara Wurst, a therapist with McGill Method Certification, whose expertise in back assessment and care has been nothing short of transformative.
What sets Cara apart is not just her proficiency in evidence-based and data-driven assessment tools but also her personalized approach to exercise prescription. Despite my own knowledge in healthy movement, my self-prescribed back pain relief methods were misdirected. Cara, with her in-depth understanding and skillful application of the McGill Method, provided targeted exercises that have significantly strengthened my back, delivering unexpected and powerful results.
Her dedication extends beyond the usual patient-care protocols. Cara’s commitment to going above and beyond is evident in her regular check-ins and the additional feedback she provides for maintaining back health, especially considering several compounding musculoskeletal and medical issues I have fallen victim to since our session together. This level of care and attention is rare and highly appreciated.
I was so impressed with the outcomes of her services, which I paid for in cash, that I have recommended numerous friends, colleagues, and students to seek her expertise. Whether it’s for assessing back pain or establishing protocols to mitigate future issues, Cara’s approach is exceptionally effective.
I highly recommend Ms. Wurst to anyone who wants to get at the fundamental issues of back pain and discomfort. I am currently on the mend. My back issues have become less intense, less frequent, and have greater time between symptoms. I am on track for several physical goals we outlined in my assessment.”
Sincerely,
Shane McFarland, MS, ACSM-CEP, NREMT

“I don’t know what I’d do without Cara. I thought my life was over when chronic pain entered. With significant arthritis in my neck and lower back along with scoliosis, I thought I was doomed to opioids, steroid epidural injections, and eventually surgery. That didn’t faze Cara though. She agreed we had a lot of balls in the air to tend to, but she always believed we could get to a place of living without pain. The process she prescribes works! It’s no magic bullet. If you want the desired results, you have to devote the time and effort it takes. There are no shortcuts. Cara’s continual support combined with her wealth of knowledge was invaluable while I was in the thick of it. I’m only 6 months into it and still learning my pain triggers but I can say most days are now pain-free as my neck and back are getting stronger and tolerating more. Finding Cara was without a doubt an answered prayer. She showed me there was a way out of the chronic pain without drugs or surgery and has allowed me to start enjoying life again.”
